cue high-pitched screams and hyperventilating crazy fan girl (yes, that was me!)
I will also admit that this is not going to be my most well-written blog post to date, but more a blur of excited waffle surrounded by photographs of the one and only Queen Bey.
Let's do this!
So being the dedicated fan that I am, I took a half day off work and met up with two of my beautiful friends from University (who are almost as obsessed as I am!), and joined the queue of fellow crazed fans for the next 5 hours.
Luckily we had lots of catching up to do, as well as plenty of snacks (including a 'cheeky Nando's') which really helped to pass the time.
We took it in turns to go for a wander, use the loo and purchase our legendary 'Flawless' sweatshirts, which were not only so amazing that they became a must-have, but we were also getting pretty chilly by 4pm and in desperate need of that extra layer.
Eventually, the nice lady came to take our tickets and replace them with shocking pink wristbands and we knew that we were getting so much closer to our destination.
When we got inside and marked our territory (ok, picked our spot) we were more than happy with how close we were - only 5 rows of people in front of us!
The support act was a French Musician/Producer/DJ who did an amazing job of warming up the crowd with well known dance mixes including a brilliant version of Grown Woman (which can be found here).
And then, after what seemed like forever - Beyoncé graced us with her presence.
Bey didn't fail to impress by mixing up the set list and running order from her previous tour, and adding hits from the new album including Flawless, Partition and Blow.
The photos don't seem to do our position any justice - I could literally see her eyebrows!
We had a little sing along with Bey to Irreplaceable (to the left to the left...)
And then came Drunk in Love.
"I bet Jay-Z comes out!"
"I wish, but he definitely won't, no way..."
I feel that witnessing this iconic couple perform together live was pretty much a once in a lifetime experience. (Dramatic I know, but it's basically true!)
And of course, Mrs Carter did not disappoint her loyal fans, bringing out the old classics such as Single Ladies (complete with impeccable choreography), Get Me Bodied and Baby Boy.
And what Beyoncé show would be complete without a round of Crazy in Love?
Finally, she closed the show with Halo, and I think it's safe to say that Queen Bey had the whole crowd speechless and teary eyed.
As I'm sure you've noticed, I'm pretty much incapable of moulding this evening into a coherent blog post - words just cannot describe how much fun I had, and believe me if money were no object, I would be there again this week to relive it.
